Alessia A. Rocha

Alessia A. Rocha born in the Canadian province, Alberta, grew up in Peru.  She returned to Quebec where she received her undergraduate degree in Industrial Relations and Management.  Ms. Rocha received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law and was a recipient of the President’s Scholarship.  During law school, Ms. Rocha served as the Senior Editor of the Florida Journal of International Law and as a teaching assistant in Trial Practice.  Ms. Rocha was awarded The CALI Excellence for the Future Award® in both Trial Practice and Professional Responsibility.  She was also a Board Member and Social Chair of the Latino Law Student Association.  Ms. Rocha was a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Justice Ricky L. Polston of the Supreme Court of Florida and for the Honorable Judge Robert J. Luck of the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.  Prior to joining Ver Ploeg & Marino, Ms. Rocha was an associate at a national law firm where her practice focused on first and third party insurance defense.  She now focuses on representing individual and corporate policy holders on issues of insurance coverage and bad faith.
