Haley A. George was born in Idaho and raised in Wyoming. In 2020, she graduated cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Political Science, and a Minor in Human Capital Management and Leadership. After graduating from Miami University, Ms. George participated in City Year, AmeriCorps and spent a year teaching 6th grade math and science in Chicago.
Ms. George earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2024. While at S.J. Quinney, Ms. George was awarded the G.W. Anderson Oil and Gas Fellowship and the Bonnie Mitchell Merit Scholarship, as well as CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Mediation and Negotiation and Gambling and Gaming Law. During her time at S.J. Quinney, Ms. George helped found the Animal Legal Defense Fund chapter at the school and served as President.
Prior to joining Ver Ploeg & Marino, Ms. George gained valuable experience through clerkships at large regional and national firms, and at a personal injury firm in Miami. Admitted to practice in Florida state and federal courts, Ms. George strives to provide comprehensive representation to individuals and corporate policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
