Lindsay R. Abbondandolo is an associate in the Miami office. Ms. Abbondandolo represents both individuals and corporate policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Ms. Abbondandolo’s background includes a broad range of insurance-related matters and policies such as commercial, business, professional liability, excess, umbrella, automobile, trucking, aviation, healthcare, employment-practices liability, errors and omissions, title insurance, homeowner, and property policies. Her experience also includes disputes involving catastrophic torts, agency law, premises liability, and recission of policies. Prior to joining Ver Ploeg & Marino, Ms. Abbondandolo was an associate at a large national firm, where she defended policyholders in liability matters and represented insurers in various coverage disputes.
Ms. Abbondandolo graduated with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from the University of Florida and received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Ms. Abbondandolo served as Managing Editor of the University of Miami Business Law Review. She also co-founded the Democratic Law Students Association with the intention to increase student participation in the political arena. Ms. Abbondandolo was a Fellow and Legal Intern for the University of Miami Health Rights Clinic where she successfully advocated to condemn a state housing project for toxic mold, resulting in a multi-million-dollar remediation. She was also an active member of Miami Law Women and Miami Law Equity Playhouse.
Ms. Abbondandolo was and remains an active mentor and volunteer at Temple Beth Emet. Throughout the pandemic, she worked with Temple Beth Emet to assist its food bank and deliver groceries from supermarkets to those in need.
