Rochelle N. Wimbush concentrates her trial practice in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, representing both individual and corporate policyholders.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Ms. Wimbush received her B.A. from Princeton University in 2005, where she earned a degree in Sociology and was a Third-Team All-American on the varsity women’s soccer team. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2009, where she was a three-year recipient of the Dean’s Honor Scholarship, an active member of the student government, and an editor for the University of Miami’s Race and Social Justice Law Review.
Ms. Wimbush joined Ver Ploeg & Marino in 2009 and is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.
Ms. Wimbush remains active in the South Florida legal community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Miami Dade Trial Lawyers Association. She also served as Secretary of the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association (2014-15) and is an active member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Wimbush was recently selected as one of Super Lawyers’ 2016 Florida Rising Stars and as a 2016 Honoree for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida. In 2015, she was also honored as one of Legacy Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Black Leaders.
